Hi, I'm Jia! I'm a UX/UI designer driven by a passion for crafting intuitive and impactful digital experiences. My journey into design started with my love for creativity—from painting manga and designing graphics to exploring how technology shapes our daily lives.
This creative curiosity eventually led me to pursue a career in UX/UI, where I can blend art, research, and user empathy to solve meaningful problems. After graduating from Sheridan's Interaction Design program, I worked as a UX/Product Designer for around 6 years. During this time, I helped my previous company secure its first seed funding, which inspired me to continue my studies and pursue a Master of Information degree at the University of Toronto. In my second year of graduate study, I had the opportunity to join TripArc as a UX Designer. TripArc is a travel technology company, and I worked with them until October 2024, designing solutions that optimized the travel booking experience for agents and clients alike.
I have experience working across various industries, from B2B SaaS to travel tech, and I thrive on collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring user-centric ideas to life. My approach to design is centered on understanding the user deeply, advocating for their needs, and creating scalable solutions that delight and empower.
Outside of design, I love exploring new tools and technologies, drawing, taking photos, and continuously learning how to make experiences better—one interaction at a time. The craziest thing I’ve done so far? A skyjump!
